Digital Product Design

How Does It Work?

Working in small teams, students design a new digital product that is engaging, understandable, and technically feasible. Students go through the entire product design lifecycle, including identifying, investigating, and validating design problems, as well as crafting, designing, and testing digital solutions.

Project Duration: Full semester (15 weeks)
Availability: Fall and Spring
Ideal For: Organizations in the early stages of developing an entirely new digital product (web or mobile app).

Project Process

01

Discovery

Research the problem space, conduct user interviews, and perform a competitive analysis.

Wireframing & Validation

Create task flows, draft low-fidelity wireframes, and conduct user testing to validate initial design decisions.

03

Prototyping

Revise the wireframes into an interactive, high-fidelity prototype with strong and appropriate visual identity.
