Project Summary

The New York Public Library (NYPL) has been an essential provider of free books, information, ideas, and education for all New Yorkers for more than 100 years. The vast breadth of the Library is one of its strengths, but it can be difficult for patrons to find the materials or experiences that will matter most to them. Patron interests may be based on age ranges, particular topics, or geography, and the experiences can range from book clubs to author talks to classes. This project focused on understanding the library’s researchers and redesigning the website to customize their experience based on their needs.
