Project Summary

As one of the best museum websites in the world, the MET never stops improving the website to fulfill all kinds of users needs. As a group of usability experts, we worked with the MET design team to evaluate the usability of the website. As a team, we used Tobii eye tracking technology and RTA (Retrospective Think Aloud) recordings to evaluate three areas of the website: Exhibitions, Events, and Primers. We discovered 6 main opportunities: exhibitions layout consistency, exhibition objects user flow, events filter, event preview information & layout, primers naming, and primers navigation, and provided 6 actionable recommendations.
