How Does It Work?

Students work in teams to understand all of your digital offerings (i.e., your website, mobile technologies, and social media) and develop a comprehensive plan for using those offerings to reach new audiences, increase engagement with your online communities, and improve the visitor experience.

Project Duration: Full semester (15 weeks)
Availability: Spring only
Ideal For: Museums and other cultural heritage organizations that are in the process of digital transformation and want to improve their digital offerings.

Project Process

Audience Segmentation

Identify main visitor segments and create journey maps outlining how they digitally engage with the museum.

Strategic Analysis

Perform a strategic analysis of a museum’s digital activity, which includes a comprehensive review of current users, value chain, and strengths and weaknesses.

Implementation Plan

Craft a new digital strategy, including an external/internal SWOT analysis and an implementation plan with goals and objectives.
