Project Summary

The New York Philharmonic was interested in conducting usability testing on their current digital archives site. The primary focus of this project was to provide the NY Philharmonic archives with beneficial feedback from the user tests to help them make informed decisions for the redesigning of the website. In this usability study, the “think-aloud” method was used, and the tests were screen recorded as a form of raw data. Though the users were happy with the aesthetics and breadth of information available on the website, they experienced some usability issues with the search results while navigating the website, among other findings.
