Edgemere Farm, a volunteer-driven urban farm in Rockaway, NY, aims to provide produce, open space, and education to the local low-income community. This project endeavors to revamp their website to better convey their mission and foster community engagement. Through research and design, we identified goals including storytelling, food justice education, community participation, and support facilitation. Our research involved technical analysis, ecosystem mapping, social media audit, competitive analysis, literature review, and interviews. The resulting design principles emphasized trust-building, diversity, inclusiveness, and concrete impact presentation. Evaluative research led to adjustments, yielding positive client feedback and clear next steps for implementation
